Is this a real Worth

Hi,
I'm confused by this label. This duster coat is obviously old but was is made by the House of Worth? Tag reads, "Worth Styles, Man-Tailored in the Workshop of Worth".
Most likely it is not a real Worth but I was wondering if any body was familiar with this label.
Thanks for your time.

Hi,

I am not familiar with that label. However, at the time that duster coat was made, that was not the Worth Paris couture label. There was a Worth in Boston and I have seen a variety of label such as ....Worth of Boston, Worth, etc that are USA made garments. I suspect this is one of those, or a similar company playing off the reputation of the couturier.

I am curious now to learn more about this label. Your duster coat is a really nice one and was likely made for horseless carriage rides or seashore strolling.

I agree with Barbara. It's not Worth; however, I can provide additional info about quality if you answer a few questions and maybe add photos.

Is the duster lined? If so, look at the lining armscye (armhole). Is it sewn by hand? Is the lining sewn to the facing by hand? what about the lining shoulder seam?

What kind of buttonholes does it have? hand-thread? bound?

Is the waist seam on the duster sewn by hand? the lining?

The drape of the sleeve appears very nice, but this view is hard to tell. Claire
