Is this a Shawl and could it be vintage?

I purchased this at a vintage clothing store and have had it just lying around for a year or so and came upon it while looking for a top to use with a pair of gold spandex capri pants I will be listing so I grabbed it as it was a perfect match to the pants...

Is this a shawl or something you would use as a window treatment :eureka: haha
It is a lacey feeling black and gold metallic with gold fringed ends, the fringe feels like a fine wire thread.
It measures 22 inches wide and is about 93 inches long not including the fringed ends...

As you can see I found a use for it other than lying crumbled up in a box.

What am I?

Thanks, I think I'll stick it back in the box and just use it for display.
The pants will be listed for VLV, I think. Haven't made up my mind yet.
