Is this bra from the 40's?

I have searched through my history of lingerie book, searched Etsy and eBay, but I haven't found anything like this. I'm assuming from the hooks that it's from the 40's, but I'm not sure.

That looks more 1920s to me. Never seen one like that though. What does the inside look like? It feels like a waist cincher should be worn underneath to get a better silhouette.
 
That's what's confusing me. It doesn't have any boning, it's all cotton with satin straps. Here's a picture of the inside.

If it is 192os they didn't necessarily have boning. They just wanted a flat look. They would wear a camisole and then a cincher over to create an even silhouette. But I am not a lingerie expert, so cannot say for sure about your item! :)
 
It looks like a custom made bra to go with a matching girdle/corset. Maybe a Spirella or from a similar company. Post World War II. I'll look in my 1947 Sears catalog.

It looks like someone has added some seaming to give it more shape: you can see that odd seam in the back, and I imagine there is one on the other side too. I'd be inclined to remove those darts/seams and then see what the shape looks like. It's a curious design and I wonder what the panel at the bottom of the front is about.
 
It was in a box with a bunch of waist cinchers, girdles and full body girdles, so it would make sense if it's a cover of some sort. I seem to have stumped many of my vintage selling friends...no one can really pin point if it's 20's, 30's or 40's. Either way, I love it and it fits me!
