Is this curly lamb, and is it 60s?

I think this is real curly lamb, only not sure... It's very, very soft, has irregular curls, and where I can see the edge of the outer shell under the petersham band, I'm just about positive it's real leather. Can you confirm? Also, would this be 60s in date? I think most Gwenn Pennington is from the 60s & 70s, is that right? And what style would this be called? Is it a retro cloche look, or just a cap? I had it perched higher on the head form, but it looked more natural and better pulled low like this. Thanks!

I have a 60s Gwenn Pennington ranch mink cloche with the same label as yours, and though mine has an even deeper crown (it sort of curves in to hug your ears), seems like yours qualifies as a cloche as well.

(Also, your hat does look like the real deal, and it sure looks 60s to me!)
