Is this dark fur collar a mink collar?

Hello all! Another question (hopefully it's not "dumb") from the career vintage student...LOL.

I picked up this fabulous plus size coat and talked my sister into modeling it for me. I'd like to get it listed on eBay this evening but I need to verify that the collar is mink. I looked through the fur resource but didn't find a fur that it this dark (it's black). I read that mink fur was dyed so I'm assuming that this collar is mink and dyed black. Does anyone else think the same?

Thanks Linda - my sister tried to do a Paris Hilton pose in one of them (can't remember which one) and we had a good laugh about it!
