Is this dress true vintage or repro?

Hi everyone!

I need a little help with dating/identifiying this dress. I thrifted it today, but it has no label or laundry info tag. Stylewise it definitely looks 1960s. It's about knee length. Closes with a zipper in the back.

The outer material is what I would describe as a structured rayon. The lining is a very sturdy, silky rayon. The collar is somewhere in between. There are no apparent discolorations, although the lining is a bit yellowish and I could imagine that it was originally pearl white.

The dress is likely home-made. The seams of the lining are raw and fuzzy. The seams of the outer material are trimmed with a zigzag stitch. All the inner parts in the bodice were stitched down by hand, so was the hem. The pattern seems relatively complex and the execution is neat, so I suspect that it was made by a local seamstress. I am still not sure whether it is an original or a modern repro.

Would appreciate your opinions. Thank you :)

I htink you are right about the construction being home or dressmaker sewn. Manufacturers didn't use cotton bias tape to finish a hem or ZZ stitching for seam finish in the last 50 years that I know of. As to when it was made by that home sewer? Although this isn't the type of dress one sees reproduced all that often. It looks 60s, but this sleeveless, semi fitted full skirt dress also showed up in the 1980s and 1990s. I couldn't say with out handling the fabric

Thank you for your replies. I am meanwhile convinced that it is an original. I showed it to a vintage dealer friend of mine today and she also thinks that it is roughly from 1967-72. She thinks the material is 100% synthetic, but I might do a burn test to validate that.
