Is this hat made of pheasant feathers?

I wondered if it is made only of pheasant feathers or is there another bird involved? Also, would you say 1950s?

Thanks! DSC_0786.JPGDSC_0780.JPGDSC_0782.JPGDSC_0784.JPG

Hi,

I think it is more on the early 1960s side of the dating scale. Possibly late 1950s. Without handling it I cannot be sure of the bird those feathers came from. There were so many types of birds used, grouse, duck, geese, chickens and roosters, partridge, etc. Often they would be dyed, bleached or clipped to mimic other birds, making it even harder to determine the original source. In general I am getting a feeling that the hat is made of a mix of both pheasant tips, and non pheasant feathers.
