Hi,
I have sold several Olga's the last few years, but I have never seen one like this. This nightgown ? is great. Have you guys seen one like this before? If so, do you know anything about it. Can you date it for me? There's 2 labels, one is the blue olga label, and the other label is Pink. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!:help:

Hi Vs,

yes. it is indeed a rare style. The pink label was used mid 70s- to early 80s. There are label references in our Label resource for Olga.

Bodysilk was a specific line of nylon fabric Olga created, and not all 'silky" items from them are the BodySilk, the label indicates which ones are.

is the top all nylon or is it a spandex blend? what is the fabric of the skirt?

it really looks 70s to me, and more of a Hostess Gown or Lounge wear.

its really pretty!

Hey Yvonne,
Thanks for your response. The fabric content on the label shows 90% Nylon, 10% Spandex. The top and bottom are made of the same fabric, sort of stretchy like Spandex with a silky feel. I was thinking it would be a little too heavy to sleep in. Maybe it is a lounging/hostess gown.

i agree with yvonne. 70s lounging dress, and whatever the exact mystery content of bodysilk is, it always says that's what it is on the label. (even if other pieces do feel very similar.)

Thanks Joan, I'll be sure not to use the word bodysilk in my description. I appreciate the information. You all are so helpful.
