Is this vintage embroidered jacket something special?

It was a gift from my step mother 15 years ago (she'd had it since at least the 70's) and it's been buried in my closet ever since. It's time to go but I don't know where. Too much love was put into it for me to dump it at a used clothing drop. I think it's Scandinavian but it has no labels and no lining. It's in excellent condition. Any ideas what it is or who might want it?

Thank you!

Andrea

(PS I'm sorry the pix are sideways - I can't figure out how to turn them.)

I think 30s or 40s and I love, love, love it. 1930s Wool Polish?
Reminds me of Heidi. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

The style can be from a variety of eras - and I agree about the Scandinavian - but my thought was late '60s to early '70s. If can tell us more about the fabric and construction (or show nice, clear pics of the button, seams etc) it will help date it.

Thanks for all of
your responses! It seems to be a thick wool (about with felt details). The button is plastic. Here are a few more detailed pictures:

Thanks but what do I do with it? I've run out of storage space. Is there a market for this kind of jacket or is there somewhere I can donate it so that it will be appreciated?

That one foofoogal posted is Polish rather than Scandinavian so perhaps this one is too, or somewhere in Eastern Europe.

I'm sure you could sell it if you've a mind too, on eBay for instance. Hard to know whether there's a huge market for this specifically, but I think it would get interest just as a beautiful and cool vintage jacket.
