Hi everyone. I had a hard time getting on here. But, It was worth it. A special Thanks to Linda!
I was wondering if any of you could tell me if this hat is a CAVLIER HAT. Or a Musketeer hat? And when it was made? I adore this hat and have never found another one like it. I have the book VINTAGE HATS AND BONNETS 1770 -- 1970. I FOUND A HAT SIMILAR TO IT. But not quite the same. I would like to know when it was made if anyone knows? Also If anyone knows who the designer is? The label reads in fancy script ( Deborah New York ) The hat is in mint condition. The label is a bit dirty. So, someone wore it but took very good care of it! I appreciate any help anyone can give me on this vintage pretty hat! I am going to try to get some pictures on so you can see the hat.
Thank-You Kindly! Sherry

I'd say it was inspired by the large Musketeer/Cavalier hats but would call it a large upswept brim, most likely from the 1980s

Thank-You so much everyone! I think what Hollis said about the hat being inspired by the large Musketeer/Cavalier hats is correct! And it should most likely be called a large upswept brim!
Thank-You also Louise for saying it is pretty!

NICOLE, Thank-You for the picture! You are right! It is not a Cavalier or Musketeer hat.
I am not quite sure what to do with this lovely hat? I do not wear hats. And it seems my house is getting more packed every day now due to my interest in vintage clothing of any kind! It is something I will have to think about.

BUT, I WANTED ALL OF YOU TO KNOW I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP! Thank-you so much! SHERRY

Thank-You for your post about the hat. It is gorgeous! But, I am afraid I still do not know who the designer is? I really would like to know!! I saw a hat on ebay the other day that was made of the same material exactly. And the same color. It was from the 40's. But I think the ladies on here know more than I do by a mile! If anyone else knows who the designer is please let me know! "DEBORAH OF NEW YORK". Thank-You! Sherry
