its Totally 80s in here..Part I - Velvet & Taffeta

I somehow just can't help myself buying outrageous 80s cocktail dresses. I have not indulged in quite some time though. I think they just make me laugh/wax nostalgic over the girls at my high school fighting eachother at the racks for them. (but these are a bit more "mature" than the peach, teal, and fuschia taffeta that would have been more age apropriate for me at the time lol)

This one is a larger 42-36-44, and velvet is always hot in the fall/winter so i just could not pass it up.

Would anyone be so kind as to jog my creative juices on a better title?? Sometimes being straightforward is best...but any suggestions will be fielded!

Very 80s and a wiggle dress, too. I think maybe prom or party should go in there, maybe puff sleeve. Love that green and black together.

Reminds me I have a couple of 80s dresses to take pics of but somehow I started taking shoe pictures and can't stop.:duh:

Chris, we are worried about you. How is the hurricane in your neck of the woods?
 
I clipped it a lot because its way too big for her. she is 32-25-35.

I was thinking the cocktail vs prom dress angle because it doesn't have the hip bow and the pastel taffeta that people picture. Maybe i should go party dress like you say, versus prom dress just because the time of year it is.

The hurricane is gone and heading up to Louisiana. So if anyone is there, batten down the hatches because its supposed to be the most intense in years. We have had bad rain the last few days, but hopefully, it won't come back!

We had Hurricane Brett here though. 4 year old nephew decided to lock the bedroom doors etc at SIL and BIL's new house and then slam them shut (and 1 of the 2 bathroom is in one of the bedrooms). So was offline yesterday helping them break back into their own house LOL
 
Wondered where you were. Thought maybe you had just turned off computer so you could get some work done!
