J Leonard Paris Dress

Hello,
This is my first post and I'm sorry to ask for help so soon.....

I have found a really nice colourful maxi dress with a J Leonard label and also a serial number.

I have looked at the labels in the label identification area for Leonard Paris Dresses but the label isn't like any of these.

Is this a completely different brand? I've have done lots of interment searches and can't find a similar label for my dress.

I ave included an image of the label and the print which I can't find any signatures on.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

Thank you :0)

I dont think this is the same as "Leonard Fashion"

Here is the trademark data

http://www.trademarks411.com/marks/73383566-j-leonard-et-cie-ameublement-paris

It appears that J. Leonard is the fabric designer, but it may be the same Jacques Leonard of Leonard Fashions? By the info I am assuming it is from the 80s. Could you post a photo of the entire dress?

EDIT: I take back the 80s estimate after looking into the trademark documents a bit more. We would need to see the dress but it certainly could be earlier. The label font looks 70s...ish

I don't know if this document search will time out so not sure you will be able to see it

Thanks to the link that Melanie posted, you can find ads, etc for J. LEONARD in some of the online French fashion magazines. I don't read French, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of background information on the company. The results of the search for J. Leonard are on the right and you can scroll down, then click on the images to see the references to J. Leonard.

The magazine covers on the right are not the hits, but beneath them are the pages in that magazine that refer to J. Leonard.

Thank you, I thought this dress due to the style, print and label is more a 70's dress.

Im confused, has anyone ever come across a dress with this label in before?

Thanks

Thank you all.

I can't see the magazine 598 of 1973 as the link is showing me a blank page and I'm not very technical so I can't work out what I'm doing wrong.

I'm still a little confused as thespectrum has referred me to the label resource but my label isn't on there.

Do you all think, in our experience that this is a genuine Leonard Fashion dress?

Thanks again for all your help its very much appreciated in unravelling this maxi dress mystery!!

I tested the link after I posted it and it took me to the page of search results, but I just checked it again and I am not seeing them either. Perhaps the site resets them, or something? Anyway, here is a little bit of the page with the 1973 long dress:

If you put together the information in the VFG label resource about Leonard, Couture Allure's blog, and the "J. Leonard et Cie," "Leonard et Cie," and "Jacques Leonard" in my image above, I think you can see that it is all the same.
