Jack Herzog Black Velvet

Hey everyone...new here! I have a Black Velvet floor length strapless gown with rhinestones just along the top of the gown. It does have white spots on the lining which I am assuming is mold. I haven't taken it to the cleaners yet. Any advice on removing the mold? It is a beautiful gown and I would love to restore it to its original state. Everything else about it is perfect. All of the prongs on the rhinestones are intact. I can't find out much about the designer though. The label says "Jack Herzog Original". The most I have been able to find are some old Vogue ads with a couple other dresses of his. Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Make sure you identify the stain before trying to remove it. The cleaners may be able to remove it.

Most likely, the dress isn't vintage (older than 20 years).

It sounds beautiful. Good luck!

Jack Herzog I believe was a 1940s couture designer carrying into the 50s. Have a google, there's some lovely dresses of his for sale from that era with lovely prices to go with them, so great find!

I'd love to see a pic of your dress, his designs are fabulous!
