I know next to nothing about scarves, but find them fascinating. I do know that Jacqmar is collectible so picked this up today in case it's worth something. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Any idea how old, if old at all? It does a couple of minor pulls, so is it still desirable even so? How would you describe the print?

Thanks for that link.

I've added a close-up of one corner to my original post.

They are carnations, I too am not sure what the other flower is.

That link doesn't make clear to me when the Jacqmar name was used until, or does it still get used? I'm probably being thick, but I couldn't work it out!

That's a great link Lynne. I used to live very near to the World of Silk place - I had no idea Dior was being created there. :wow: I'd always thought Crayford was up there with a shot at being the Most Tedious Place on Earth, but I'll have to admit I was wrong!

Sweet william or night scented stocks for the other flower? Can't decide which. I associate both, and carnations, with the 70s. Really popular with UK gardeners in that decade, which is perhaps why I'd plump for 70s in date.

Be sure to mention that it's a hand-rolled edge, not machine sewn.

I have quite a few Jacqmars, I like them a lot, but I don't have a big price tag on them.
