Jaegar coat - timeline confirmation please.

This midi Jaegar coat has the same label as the 80s 2 pc dress and was sold by La Belle Boutique in Toronto. It's a soft black double knit jersey with velvet trim. Straight cut, and gentley padded shoulders. The belt is missing. Is this later 70s instead of 80s?
