Japanese coat? age and what is it?

Thanks everyone... normally I would ahve some sort of guess as to age.... but I don't know wehere to start. Way out of my league... the fabric looks so new. So i wont be suprised if it is, but I bought it ina vintage shop and the tag looks a little older... this is the only tag, S made in Japan. It is fully lined and well put together.. any info or idea would be greatly apprecitaed... thank you...

PS. what do I call it? Japaneses coat?

It's a coat made in Japan, using Japanese fabric but for the Western market. The Japanese don't wear coats with centre front closures like that. I have no idea as to age, but it looks vintage -- 1950s maybe?
 
I had a very. very similar piece - I think it was just a different colorway, that my grandmother brought back in the mid-late 50s.
