Need help with a date, and if by chance you can read the label????????I have absolutely no clue on this, it appears to be older, and the lining is a crepe, and the shell is silk. and the embroidery is the same on front and back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

P.S. Sorry about the huge pictures.

Paula,

PLEASE say that is a large! I have no idea of the age, as
I don't have a clue with oriental fashion, however the
dramatic heavy floral and dragon embroidery should make
this fly.

Paula its beautiful. I always associated the dragon with Chinese. ( I could be wrong though) I just sold a wedding set that did well. And it was very heavily embroidered.

I have a feeling this is late 40's possibly early 50's

My guess would be 40's and that is just UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC! I have seen few things over the years that I was as drawn to as this. In fact, I think you should just save it in case you are my secret santa again this year. ;)

How absolutely stunning! I agree that it's most likely 40's. I, too, associate dragons with Chinese clothing. But, I am not an expert on Asian clothing. I DO love this jacket. It is sooooooooooooooo fabulous!!!!

Please let me know when you list this.

I believe these are called Chinese tea jackets, worn for special occasions.

Kat !~)

Okay, Chinese Tea Jacket it is. I am fairly certain that its date is around the 40's 50's mark.
It's going up tonight..... Any suggestions for a catchy title, and start price?
Please......!!!
I really am clueless here.
TIA,
Paula

Oh Paula, when I opened this I was half expecting one of those normal, brocade ,cheapo touristy jackets you see all the time. But this is gorgeous !

I hope you do well with it !

Stunning, just stunning.
The writing on the label looks partially Korean to me.....

A yummy size as well, this should flyyyy

Thanks everyone, I would love for it to go to one of you here. I've already answered some scarey emails, re: condition, including one inquiring about B.O. ( Sound familiar?), and smoke odors. I wonder if they are offended by mothballs, or cedar chips too?
Again, Thanks All,
BBL,
Paula
