Jay Thorpe 1940\'s Dress with Issue

Bought a big load of vintage from a shop going out of business. In the the lot there was a great Jay Thorpe dress... The lining was totally shattered. I think it would be worth replacing the lining but would it tash the value of the dress? The fabric is mesh like the sleeves have this great bell shape. Sorry for fast pictures.

The rest is very wearable. But the ling is too shredded to get the coat on.... I was thinking of just taking the lining out.... But the sleeves need the lining to hold shape...

Sighhhh... I may just have fixed so I can wear it myself.

That is a dilemma Chris.. I too would probably end up getting it fixed and then wearing it myself -if it fits you I would keep it. Black coats are always useful!
