Hi, I purchased this dress today at a jumble sale, is anyone able to advise if this label is genuine, it doesn't appear the same as many I've seen on the internet. Also be very interested for any information on the dress itself.

I found Jean Varon and Jean Varon Ltd in British directories from 1959 to 1983. From 1960 to 1982 the entry was Jean Varon Ltd, whlsle couture.

We don't have your label, once it's been dated perhaps it could be added?

Whilst we can't authenticate designs here, I see no reason to think it wouldn't be authenticate. I would date to mid to late '70s, about '78.
