JESS San Francisco dress label more info please

Hi !
I am new to this forum and am super excited to have found it! I work at a little thrift shop and I come across a lot of amazing vintage finds all of the time.

This particular label has me a bit stumped. It is beautiful dress possibly 60’s early 70’s? with the label reading JESS San Francisco… what I believe it to be may not be what it is. But after hours of searching google I am stuck on this being an original Jessica McClintock dress … BEFORE she designed and produced her famous, “gunne sax” . Although I very well may be completely wrong I feel that this may just in fact be an original or first labeled dress design of Jessica McClintock.

ANY advice, input or correction would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi, I am no vintage expert but at first sight I see that there is a washing instructions label, which should indicate that the dress has been made past 1971. Gunne Sax with black label, which the first ones have been created 1969, so I think you might be wrong, but I can't be certain because I am fairly new to vintage world and I will let experts speak.
