I have two pieces that my books and resource can't help me with. If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate it. :adore::adore:

Very pretty -- Can you make out any of the markings on the first piece? Looks like a Mexican mark (and the clutch has that styling as well). Maybe you can do a pencil rubbing over it to get a better idea. 30's with simulated aquamarine.

The stem of the stick pin looks late Victorian (and has a Fleur de Lis motif with genuine seed pearls) and it appears as if there was some re-soldering on the back. The stem could be gold or gold fill.

Oh my! I didn't think of doing that for the signature. I have blown it up hugely, looked into my super dooper magnifier and still can't make it out. I'll try that...thank you for the info...

Looks like "Secres" or something similar...maybe I need to look up Egyptian marks because the bottom mark is not anything I recognize

Here is it through the loop...looks different but still cannot make out signature...I will most likely bump my head until someone or something helps me find an answer...ha ha

I tell you, I have looked at it every way but inside out. It almost looks like part of the stamp didn't come out...but even that I am not sure of. Doesn't look like another alphabet. Maybe some others will jump in here at some point...I haven't a clue even on a date...still looking around...thanks so much!

Looks that way to me, too! I wonder if that could be a hallmark of some sort (as the brooch appears to be silver)?

Laura really knows her jewelry and is likely right that it's an early-ish piece. My first hunch, though, was that it was almost contemporary. Something about the shape and the openback setting on the stone put me in mind of studio silver pieces I've got from the 90s.

And I have a couple of Israeli (silver) vermeil brooches from the 60s with the same sort of wirework and beading on them...

The fleur de lys stickpin is very typically Victorian. Am I imagining things, or is there a mark on back of it?

Sorry I can't be more help!

You are right, there is a mark...again all my eye-crossing cannot tell what it may be. *faints* I sell quite a bit of Mexican and Southwestern jewelry and so when these pieces come to me I am seriously "verklempt" when it comes to identification. Thank you! In looking at the detail of the pin itself on the bar pin it does not have the fine shaping you see on newer pins.
