jewelry sellers - can you help me out?

hi there, i'm aly and i'm new around here. i was wondering if anyone knows anything about vintage rondelles and maybe these vintage clasps[/url]. i received some items from my mother, who received them from a friend, who inherited them from her aunt.

i know absolutely nothing about the clasps except that they are sterling silver, not diamonds, and that some of the rondelles were wrapped up in letterhead (shown above). The letterhead is from The Biltmore Hotel in NYC. The letterhead is from John Mc E Bowman (John McEntee Bowman) and he was the President and owner of that hotel in 1914. He died in 1931. Why the rondelles are in his letterhead or how they're connected - I wish I knew.

Anyone have any ideas about this stuff?

I have no idea, but I love the stationary. I travelled a lot in the 50's and every hotel had stationary in the room and in the lobby for the tourists to write home. Of course the clock at the Biltmore is famous.

i think i may take the clasps to a jeweler and have them looked at before i try to make something with them.
