Hi all
Rather new to buying vintage.

I bought a dress recently with a Jim Thompson label, it is the first picture on this thread with a photo of the label second. There is a small label in the side seam which says 100% silk but I was just trying to find out info on this as there are not many Jim Thompson dresses online.

The 3rd and 4th pictures are of a lovely top with a Bellino label in it, the label in the 5th picture. Again I bought this in a vintage clothing shop so I was wondering the decade this was from and there is no label for the fabric this is made from or the care for it though it does feel like possibly silk

The 5th picture is of a ladies blouse that has a Susyware label inside and looks 70's, the care label in the side seam says handwash only and drip dry, just wondering why as it feels like cotton to me. I bought this in a vintage clothing shop

I think all your items are from the 90's to 2000's. I would hazard a guess the Jim Thomson could be later 90's. It has a nice print.
I think the Bellino top is missing care labels because it was possibly a two piece, and these were in the skirt where it wouldn't show through the fabric if lined or pleated. (the fabric looks a little sheer)

It's a bit too dark to tell, can you do the neck up & turn the cuffs up and take a photo with flash? and photos of all labels.

Hi,

Jim Thompson is a legend amongst us textile collectors, and silk in particular. Many decades ago he was a leading proponent (acting pretty much single handed) of reviving the Thailand silk industry as far as 20th century merchandising is concerned. His silks are world famous. I had heard there was a line of clothing with his name on it (he is long gone) but had not looked into it. It is a very pretty dress!
