Jonathan Logan 60s Junior Sun Suit - How to better describe this please??

Hi!

This darling Jonathan Logan 60s junior set (size 9) in pale lavender cotton voile arrived. It consists of a cropped top (bust 28) but I don't know how to describe the shape of the bottoms. They are wide-legged, pleated hip-huggers. Did they have a special name in their day?

Also, the buttons seem to be a translucent plastic - very lovely but again, is there a particular name for the button type?

Help, please.

Mia

I made something similar for a school fancy dress float many years ago where I was supposed to be Princess Jasmine so I would also keyword it with things like Aladdin, and Arabian nights.

Just for fun - here's the pattern we used (I found it at home shortly after this!): It was the one on the left, but made all from lilac chiffon.
