Jonathan Logan dress - 60s or different era?

I assumed this Jonathan Logan dress was 60s but it has some detailing that feels older in some way. One thing it has is a faded tag with the lot number on it -- when to when were these used exactly? Any insight will be helpful!

It looks early 60s to me as well.

Early to mid 1960s....I had some similar style dresses during that time. This one sort of has a faux empire waist with the buttons and tabs creating that effect.

Lot tags are unique to the manufacturer and have nothing to do with dating the dress (unless you happen to know the manufacture's inside accounting information, or the like).

I think it could be a little earlier: late '50s - you can see the hem has been taken up quite a bit and that's making it look more '60s. The detailing looks earlier and I think the buttons on the front would originally have been big self-covered ones.
