Joseph Magnin Coat—What Year Was it Made?

Hi,
I would love to know what decade (or year) this coat hails from and also what the fur is. I have had it in storage for 20 years and can’t remember now how I came to have it. The garment bag came with it then and has kept it in pristine condition. It needs a good dry cleaning and pressing. I would also love any speculation on resale value.

The label in your coat is close to the 1970s label in our Label Resource:

But it's also close to the 1960s label - except white on black rather than black on white. I think the coat is late 1960s due to the style and length. We don't give or suggest value - but you can do a search for similar sold items on online sources.

I’d agree with Linn on the date. Looks mid to late 60s to me too with cut and length.

I feel it is later as in the 1960s style, but early 2000. When the 60s look was popular.

Suzanne - you may be thinking of I. Magnin which closed later - between 1994 and 1995. J. Magnin closed in 1984.
