Just got the most convincing spoof to date

Look out for this one....it looked just like a "question from seller" at first glance. The "question" asked why they couldn't get a paypal payment to go through to me, tried it twice and it didn't work.

Well, the form was identical to ebay's question email, but there was no subject (flag one), the font was wrong (flag two) and the purple bar on top had a different seller name than the question where it says "so and so is a potential buyer" (flag three).

On first glance and with no coffee in me, it looked kosher. Beware!

If spoofers put as much work in an actual job as they do into trying to cheat people, imagine what they could accomplish!

I have gotten several of those. Now I don't answer ASQ from my email. When I see I have one, I go to My Ebay.

Has anyone got one from paypal, saying that you made a payment for an item you didn't buy?
I have been getting about one a week, lately. I've been forwarding them to the [email protected] link. The weirdest thing is the response I get from paypal. They apologize, and list reasons why payments to my account may be delayed. Whats up with that?
I guess I may never figure out how paypal really works.
