Hi, I purchased a skirt at a thrift store with a label that reads Brookfield Sport. The skirt is long...below the knee with a slight flare. It has no labels indicating fabric content but feels like a heavy wool. Hidden in the waistband seam is a small tag indicating it is a size 14, and the same tag reads dry clean only. I have found no union labels. The skirt is lined and features a plasic or acrylic talon zipper and also fastens with a talon hook.
The skirt measures like a modern-day size 6.
My question is...do I have a vintage piece? If so, what era? The lining and care label throw me off...my mom and I both thought 60s, but I read most 60s skirts were not lined and did not feature care labels. The only Brookfield label I have found made menswear.
Thanks for the help.
