I was just looking at the catalogue for this auction, I think this is one not to be missed for any Biba collectors. They also have the amazing wedding suit made by John Bates which Marit Allen wore for her wedding day. I love vintage pieces with a history for my own personal collection, so will definitely be bidding at this auction. Just hope I win one of my chosen lots!

I always look forward to their catalogues for each auction, but when I go to view can never decide what to bid on!

So sad that the collection is being split up really, I always envisioned it all ending up in a museum because it was so very important as a whole entity. I met her once, briefly, and she was really lovely to chat with - and I was very proud that some of my gear was displayed alongside her gear at the John Bates and V&A Sixties exhibitions.

I do hope her wedding ensemble goes to a museum. I want all of it, and it would be particularly special to have a Marit-owned piece but I don't think my funds will stretch that far right now. Ah well.... :(

Alot of KT things do end up in museums. Pretty much all of the corsets, bustles and other things I've sold have gone to museums all over the world (I'm glad as I'd hate to see some girl walking around in my 18th century stays), even some in South America!
I should imagine that it will be the same with this collection :)

AMAZING....!

I'm in love with #25, the Bill Gibb ensemble....but everything in the auction is drool-worthy.
