Hi there. My name is Robert. I inherited this mirror from my Mom. I know the mirror is a mercury mirror as the sparkles are amazing. The black hand-carved wooden frame I think may be barroque or rococo style? Not sure. Can anyone chime in as to their thoughts? Also, it takes two people to carry this beauty. The measurements of the mirror is 22.5" w and 35" tall and inside the frame the measurements are 43" x 35.5"

Thank you in advance,

I am considering selling it,

Robert Harris

Hi Robert, very striking mirror!

I'm afraid that we can't offer a valuation of items (the forum rules can be found here), but I can suggest you try to find something comparable that has sold on eBay.

I'm not an expert in vintage items outside of fashion, but maybe someone else here knows baroque and rococo frame styles. My guess is that it is baroque in style, because of the heavy and ornate look.

Could you take a closer photo of the mirror frame showing more of the details of the motifs? From what I can see, I wouldn't call the style of the frame Baroque or Rococo. I agree that it might help you if you can find something similar on eBay or other online venues. Thanks!
