Hi Mel,

I could only find 4 references to old auctions that had this label - no pics and no further info.

We have several extremely knowledgeable people here from the UK however and hopefully they will check in and be able to tell us something.

Sue

thanks sue
these dresses are definatley not your run of the mill 70's they are stunning i will post some pictures
the lady who bought them into my shop said that she was in europe visiting v.i.p.s and the designer k. bellman was flown out with the clothes to her for fittings etc sounds so interesting and i would love to find out more
this ladys collection also includes jean patou velvet suits with mink collars all very Dr zhivago style so i am sure k bellman must have been very elite
any help would be great
kind regards
mel

Hi there, I have a really wonderful Kleshie Bellman handmade crochet jacket in golden corn colour. Still can't find any information about this designer online 8 years since the last post on this thread and just wondered if any further information had been found? Any information would be gratefully received as so much work must have gone into this jacket so it would be really nice to have some more information about it. Thanks, Helen

Kleshie Bellman was my Great Aunt and lived in Hemel Hempsted in the UK. She was born Kleshie Warshawski in 1896 in London to a family of Polish Jewish tailors. I don't know a lot about her business but I do remember her as being very glamorous. I would be interested to learn more.
