Klingrite Fashions 1940s Skirt Suit

After looking through my books, at suit patterns, etc, I am pretty sure this is a late 1940s (1947ish) piece and not early 1950s, but don't want to misrepresent information in my listing. Reasons I think it's late 1940s are... jacket has definite shoulder pads and small notched collar. The unlined skirt. with a side metal Talon zipper has a longer profile (almost 28" long) than I've seen in the early 1940s and early 1950s. Fabric appears to be light weight wool or wool blend.

Would be grateful for your thoughts on this. If you think it's other than late 1940s would love to know what details you looked at to make your decision.

I defer to the experts on dating--just wanted to say I love the button detail, and that I found Klingrite ads starting in 1936 and going till the late 50s.
