Knit 2 Piece Outfit - No Idea

There are actually two of these outfits in the group - this pink one and anothe one that is sort of a tan/cream color. The pattern on the sweater of the other set is slightly different too. I really don't know where to date these.

No closures on tops. Skirts gave 3 buttons that I THINK go on the side. There is no elastic - think you can see in photos.

There are no labels but both sets have the same size "16" tags attached.

Won't post anymore tonight (even thugh I am itching) but do have just a couple more out of the group that I would like to verify. Don't want to abuse your good nature! :)

As always - I greatly appreciate your expertise and input.
Maureen

I agree with Joules that the styling and buttons do look '30s: do you know what the buttons are made of? It looks to be in crisp and new condition, which gives it a modern feel but they're unlikely to put old buttons on it, are they?

Oh, and Maureen - you never need to apologise for posting lots of identification images. Many of us love challenging our knowledge and seeing new things, especially things we haven't seen before. After all, we don't have to look at the threads and reply if we don't want to.

I dont know much about buttons at all. I can tell you that the buttons and belt buckles on all of these pieces do not feel like plastics used today. Other than that, I am probably very little help. I was actually wondering what they were made of myself and thought I might need to research :)

Raschel is the type of knit. "A type of warp knitting that produces fabric similar to tricot but usually of coarser texture and with openwork patterns."
