Label Information - Lady Love

Hoping you could provide me with some information on the label 'Lady Love" I purchased a nightgown from a lady who informed me that is was from the 1930s, but I'm not sure if she was correct. I looked for information under the label resource section of the website but couldn't find anything, I did a google search and found some images of nightgowns but nothing on the label.

Thank you Mary, the gown does have a look of the 1930s its bias cut and looks similar to others I have from that decade which I also purchased from the same lady.

I am keen to find out more information on the label "Lady Love" and not the actual garment.

Well, with only the label to go on, I think it's likely to be '50s. I've seen ads for bias cut nightgowns into the '40s and '50s so it's not just the '30s that featured that style.

Are there any more labels or is that the only one? If you can show pics of the nightgown we can date it. Do you know what fabric it's made of? Silk, rayon?

Hi!
There was a company out of Chicago called "Lady Love Lingerie Freedom". First applied for trademark in 1925. Yours looks like a later label without the second half of the name and the "jailed flapper girl" but still has the prominent L L.

Here is another possibility, although without an accompanying logo, it can't be confirmed that this is the same manufacturer.
