as an artist I've found that the variegated colors & textures & patterns on the backs of woven cloth labels are as useful for collage as the front of the labels which are more defined, traditional & identifiable design elements ...
In my collection I display pairs of labels side by side which allows me to select what I desire for a project based on colors, size, shape, designs and patterns. I may often include the fronts and backs in a given creation.
Most of my designer labels are lessor renowned brands & are contemporary dating from the late 1990's to the early to mid 2000's
Here are a few of thousands of brands I've collected based solely on shape, size, patterns, color & design rather than a popular fashion or brand. Each label both front & back is a work of art unto itself.

Anyways - it's a real fun & fulfilling activity for me.
