Lace Dress - dating?

Hi all.

I seem to have picked up some pieces that I need help identifying or getting information about. This one seems to be older than most of the stuff that I get (usually 40s and newer) .. and the condition certainly tells me it is (a big hole in the front). Could anyone help me identify when this is from?

Thanks once again!

That is a wonderful find, even with the hole. Looks circa 1910 to 1913, judging by the slender lines of it. These were often called lingerie dresses or garden party dresses. Hard to be exact on the year, as it is wrinkled and not fitting the dress form. Still, a very nice dress. These usually launder up nicely.

Thanks! Its amazing what you can find isn't it? It was only $1.25 at an estate sale .. no one wanted it but I saw how pretty it would have been so thought I should get it! What would be the best way to go about laundering it?
