I came across this lovely dress at a re-sale shop. I am looking for any help to date it. I am assuming that this is a wedding dress, unless all of you much more knowledgable people know otherwise. There are no tags, only a metal zipper stamped "ROBIN." Thank you in advance for your help.

yep exactly what i thought 70s.. very cute though.. im not a big 70s fan either... i like the tiers? on the sides... i had a green dress like that i sold....

i would assume wedding dress, but perhaos just a formal that could be used as either, but im not sure just speculating

yes i undrestand late 60s early 70s.. what made me go later (newer i guess is more correct) is specifically the cuffs/sleeves and waistline.....

I am no expert by any means but personal experience the elongated cuffs seem to be more 70s, and i find more true emperical waistlines in the 60s.... this is high waisted but not under the bust like a true emperical and most of my 70s stuff has this waist line....then there is the added featuers of the ruffled neck andsleeve shape, found in both eras but more prominent in the 70s secretary type dresses :-)

but I'm still learning so I base mine off of personal inventory :-)
