Lambs Wool Winter Hat

Uh... this may be a stupid question, with no definitive answer but, does anyone know if there is a specific name for these sorts of hats? I wore one as a kid, although it was made of pile and not lamb fur... I swear we called it something specific, but just cannot find it in research or recall

Its just a lambskin / shearling fur hat with pom poms.

Any help or ideas are appreciated

Thanks

Hi Eli, It's a sheepskin hat that could also be referred to as shearling if the fur outside has been clipped and the inside shows leather or suede. You could also reference lamb as lamb is just young sheep. Others might have some more descriptors for the style of the hat itself who specialize in hats but it looks like a bonnet style to me.

Ok, yeah I have a few and they are all sheepskin / shearlings. Maybe I will just post them as sheepskin bonnets. No idea what we called them when I was a kid.

Thank you
