Lanvin Castillo Gown

Hi all,

I am new to the boards, and I have a question regarding a Lanvin Castillo gown I recently acquired. I've done a bit of research, and I believe it to be late 50's / early 60's as Castillo left Lanvin in '62. The Met also has a similar gown which is dated 1960.

As you can see on the tag, it reads made by Narty. I am curious to what/ who that is. And if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd love to figure out if there is a record of this gown somewhere, so I could better date it. Where would I look?

Emma

From a non-exhaustive newspapers.com search, I see that Nanty was a high-end New York label. I am wondering if the label represents a licensed adaptation.
