Last one - Tear Drop Pearl Brooch

I could find no markings on this brooch. It has tear drop pearls and sparkly faceted crystals hanging from a round gold metal piece. (I really hate describing jewelry, I really suck at it :BAGUSE: ). I've never seen anything quite like this and need to narrow down the date. Thanks!!

That's a beauty!

I think they're not tear drops, there's another name for that shape, when it's tapered at both ends. Can't think of it though!

almond shape..the style was very popular here in uk, with earring and brooches matching, from the early to mid 60's...

Hi again Carrie :) This is a newer piece with a bow to 50's/60's, and so it can be confusing, since it was designed to be retro.

I want to show you some details, so that you can see it too. That style of filigree base as is the type of plating, is something that one would see now in stores for example, along with that type of pearl bead, and even the color of the plating that remains on the straight pins which attach the beads.

It is beautiful, there's no doubt about that -- and collecting and learning about jewelry is tops in the fun department (even better than chocolate cake!). ;)
