The label on this Lilli Ann jacket is a match to the Label Resource "Lilli Ann late 1940s."

I will list as late 1940s unless there's a detail I'm missing that would suggest dating the jacket earlier or later. Thanks for taking a look and sharing your opinions. -Alice

Yes, I can imagine. The good thing is that it has black trim, so it can be paired nicely with a black pencil skirt. It would have been a bit more awkward for example, if the jacket was solid gray or something like that. Great find!

The first thing I thought was....was the original skirt in the black 'trim' fabric, rather than the tweed?

I thought the same thing regarding the possibility of the skirt being black rather than tweed. I'm still doing daily runs to my "lucky" store and hoping to find the missing piece.
