Late 1960s polyester skirt and jacket - By Kalil

I am in need of some information on this set that i believe to be made in the late 60s.

I cant find any info on its tag by Kalil. Not even other clothing on ebay etc.

There is a union tag looks to be after 64. Has copyright symbol

I cant place its style. It is definitely polyester but the gold threads and floral pattern i think 70ish.

Big plastic buttons. Side talon zipper not metal

It looks 60s to me.
I believe Kalil was a department store. Can you show a close up photo of the green tag.

It might be early 70s... I posted recently about a piece with strong 60s vibes and a really similar cut, but a 1974+ union label. It's been a head scratcher for me bc of the short jacket and long bell-shaped skirt, I've even wondered if it was 80s.

@LousyLoversVintage - are they three-quarter length sleeves? I agree it looks 60s, three-quarter sleeves would also be typical, as is this kind brocade fabric.

@poisson_rouge I understand what you mean, but that neckline especially of your jacket doesn't look 60s to me. Like I mentioned above, there are also smaller style elements and fabrics and colours can point to a certain decade.

Yes quarter length sleeves. The fabric is definitely polyester. Probably older womens fashion of the mid to late 60s?

I would say early to mid-60s. Not particularly for an older woman, just not super fashion forward I would say. Something dressy to be worn in the evening.
