late 40s Hyde Park Drum jacket. ... or 1950s?

I'm thinking late 40's , maybe early 1950s for this jacket because of the strong presence of shoulder pads, batwing sleeves, nipped waist with belt (which is missing) and the peplum. I think the buttons were originally fabric covered (sleeves have fabric covered buttons) but the front buttons are now a sparkly metal.
(hope I'm getting better at this :))

This jacket more closely resembles the 1940s Drum jacket I found on line. I also found a 1950s Drum jacket but it had the big button front closure. Also wanted to add my dress form is a bit small for this jacket so the waist does not look as fitted as it should and shoulder have ended up a bit droopy...

Thank you for your help. Alice

Actually it's more about the skirt and not the jacket of the suit. The jacket label reads "The Patented Body DRUM Shape Retaining Skirt." Also on the label is a U.S and Foreign Patent Pending. I think in my original post I should have noted the jacket was Hyde Park, Drum. I have found two other listing under this name. A suit from the 40's and a jacket from the 50's. All appear to be excellently constructed pieces. Hope this helps.
