Lee Everfloat Swimsuit

Hi, does anyone know anything about the Lee Everfloat swimsuit from the 50s? I bought one today with the intention of removing the bulky flotation panels (I loved the style and color of the suit, just not the awkward look of extra weight that the panels added). I'm torn about removing them; if I leave them in I will definitely be selling it as it will not be wearable for me. The suit is the same the one in the ad pictured, in a lovely coral color. Any suggestions?

I really think you should leave it in its original state and sell it that way.

WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T REMOVE THE PANELS. This will appeal to a swimsuit collector as is more than to anyone who will want to wear it.
