Leopard print 40s? 60's? huh?

Leopard print 40s? 60\'s? huh?

Ok, so I have looked over this piece many a time in my piles. It looks so 80s from first glance, then I picked it up and i was shocked and excited...

I can't really believe this is late 40s early 50s because it is in too good of condition (though it is cotton and normal fade i suppose) the label, front thin talon metal zipper all suggest older but really leopard print during the war? Is this a siren suit? it just romper thing? I don't know. I guess after reading Jonathan's book I might be jumping to conclusions.

Please help, I have no gut feeling with this one. I lightened the one picture so you could see the seam finishings. I hope that helps.

Thank you in advance! Oh and don't mind the pictures. I literally just came in from a run, towing the kids behind me in a wagon, great exercise lol. I toweled off and decided to take pictures of this while I felt motivated! I know, no sweat dont worry! :-)

oh and it is pleated in the but area to add definition, I really don't need that addition, now I look like a BARN! my hubby will love it I suppose! LOL. and matching material tie belt, not elastic or anything but has a cord/rope type center that at first looked like elastic, but after inspection realized that it was not. Appears to be more reinforcement, as if this were meant for heavy wear.

Oh...it is by Swirl!

I am thinking 60s/70s with that collar, but not confident.

Lizzie has tons of info on swirl, in her blog.

Ahh haaa. I didn't even check the label resource as swirl seems so, kiddie lol :-) Thank you, and I guess my first insticnt with 80s wasn't so far off huh?

Thank you. Is it to much to ask does it lean towrds early or later 70s, and is there any kind of market for this ting or is it better off in a physicaly store vs eBay?

Sorry so many questions!

Swirl is so hot right now, although the wrap dresses are the big thing. I've lost out on three of them recently on ebay...

But this is so funky! And such great condition, too. Can't beat it!

70's Park East by Swirl Palazzo Pants Leopard Jumpsuit = 54 characters.

And I just want to say - I had about 5 or 6 jumpsuits with palazzo pant legs in them all thru the 70's. They were very chic at the time. ;-)

Yall are awesome thank you!!!

I thought it was rather cute. I guess I will now have to take the time to put my face on and photograph her properly huh? I'll do a few then!
