Licensed Chanel copy

This appears to be a licensed Chanel copy. There is a photo of the original in the book Chanel by Bott. It's one of five suits in the photos that Chanel took to Russia in the sixties. [Russia was a part of the Soviet Union at that time.]

That's interesting that Chanel took some her designs to the USSR in the 60s. Her designs were so egalitarian and appropriate for every age of woman, it makes sense that her Paris atelier designs were favourites for the Socialist doctrine.
