Like I Don\'t Have Enough To Do...\'Ol Summertime Memories

I do not know what possessed me to start this blog. Maybe it is because I just received my Reminisce magazine, or because I found an old scrapbook. I don't know...I really am not a writer as you can tell from my auction descriptions...lol. It's like I am trying to do everything else but do the work I need to get done.:duh:

Anyway, I was thinking about summertimes from my childhood and wrote this silly article . Really OT but thought you might like to read and maybe it will help you remember summertimes of your past.

What a great trip down memory lane.
I remember my 'swimming pool'. And I remember my daddy having just as much fun in it as I did. This picture is on the June page (father's day) on a calender I made at vista prints. I miss my dad.

I love that picture, Marie! I cannot believe he fit in that! Awww, we all miss our Dads but I know you especially miss yours this summer.

Sara, avoidance..you are exactly right! Funny though, now that I have written it, I have already gotten up and started doing things! Like I feel refreshed now and can move on. I still am thinking of things I forgot...like waterguns..how can I forget those? Do you have a blog link you would like for me to include? Just let me know.

(Edited: I see it now. I am adding you. Hope you will add me.:) )

My swimming pool was a 5 ft round 3 ft tall horse trough, for watering horses in the field. Tres swanky! After 3 or so swims and a week of the elements, we would hook the spigot up to the hose and water the veggies, or give the dog a bath in the old water. MMMM wet dog!

Here is one of my fave summer images of Alex. The bliss of being a boy, being 2 and having your first Bomb Pop ever, bought by Grandpa from the ice cream truck.
