The story behind the collection is fun and I was particularly interested to read that the Mandalian-made handbags used crush fish scales and applied the results to the mesh to give it shine. According to the collectors, these bags were superior to the Whiting and Davis bags. Now I understand why they fetch such high prices.

Wow! How fantastic !! I find myslf wondering what that compact set would have looked like new and what color rouge or powder was inside. I'm curious what the final bid will be for such a once in a lifetime collection??
