Lilli Diamond drapey dress-- this work ok?

Alright... it's becoming near impossible for me to take good pics of anything black. Grrrrr!
Slim skirt.. wraped and draped layers of chiffon on the bust that my manni just doesn't fill out.
Anyway.. this goddess-y thing is missing it's original belt. The loops are WIDE, and my thought is that it probably had a wide patent leather belt. Does this sound right or am I total off the mark?
Will this belt do for the pics or is it totally lame? I don't seem to have much else around here that's appropriate.

Also... late 50's, early 60's, yes? This would be SO VaVaVoom on a gal with curves! Very Marilyn :-)

VaVAVoom is right. That looks really good to me the way you have it. Really makes the hourglass shape stand out.
 
Due to the length - unless it has been shortened, I would
say mid 60s.....that bodice is phenomenal...very Marilyn!

(at the moment, I hate black with a passion - unless it is
black satin that has some highlights to it - re photographing I mean)
