Lily Pulitzer "The Lily"pants? romper? halter thing? how to wear?

I thought it was like pants with a sort of bandeau wrap top but I can't find similar and it looks weird like that. It has these SUPER long and wide swaths of fabric on the bodice (?) and just not sure how to tie it! anyone know>?

Perhaps try wrapping to tie off in front.

It looks like a change-about jumpsuit. So you've tied it correctly for one of the ways it can be worn, or it can be tied at the front, or over the shoulders in a criss-cross if the sashes are long enough, or as a wide sash trouser. Butterick did a pattern for this style.

Yes, I agree with wrapping around the front and tying on the bust. But if you practice draping the sashes you'll see which way they go as some will sit well and others won't.
